Massiv update from 2013 and 2014

oooops, Hi!!

I see that I haven't written here in like a year.. and since I now know that some of my kids at work read my blogg perhaps it's time to write here :)

So I'm gonna show you what I have done since January 2013, cuz to be honest I never uploaded any pics from neither the trips or the concerts I went to.... oooopss 

So lets start from the beginning..  

 2013 Concerts

2014 Trip

(so far I have only gone on 1 trip, but more are coming...)

Mum's 60's birthday trip to Marrakech, 19th to 26th of April 

 

My birthday

was like 3 weeks ago... I don't feel older and honestly don't look it either, cos people still think I'm 19 :P

This year I mainly got my gifts from my parents, since the rest has apparently forgotten (like always) my birthday....

From my parents I got:

 I got woken up or I should say put to bed (cos I sat up the whole night to write my paper , 15 pages, for Uni that was due on my birthday) by my parents singing and giving me this; Dollars, Traveling sleeping bag from Everest, extra battery and extra memory card for my camera.

 After work mum came home with some pants/trousers in a very neon pink "So that Caroline won't lose you in USA"

 This ring I got like yesterday cos my mum had forgotten to give it on my birthday :P

I had said that I liked it when we where in the store like in April or May... and now I got it

This map I had to order myself since my parents couldn't find it on the internet....It's so that I don't have to bring my giant Road atlas over USA.

And this is the cake I got when I got home :) I love strawberries

 From my god daughter and her family I got some flowers and a card

 From my friends Sara and Marcos I got a Hello Kitty PJ :)

 I also got my 30 Seconds To Mars Cd that I won fro Universal and a €10 voucher from a company I subscribe to :) 

Oh happy days, well of course I also had loads of people on facebook that said "Happy birthday" but it's not the same as in the old days, phone call or cards in the mailbox...

 

A quick hello

I just have to tell you whats up in my life now....

I have nailed some of my exams /course and some other I have flunked... (you win some, you lose some).

But the most exiting thing is that my friend and I are going to USA in late August to late September :) It's only gonna be the West Coast  for this time around, but hey 1 months of travel 

 I'm going first to Seattle, then taking the Greyhound to Portland where I will meet up with my friend. From there we are driving down to San Francisco , gonna spend some time there and then continuing to Los Angeles, where we are gonna be until I leave on the 23rd of September. My friend will continue down to Mexico before she goes home.

 I have promised myself to not talk about this trip so much until August, otherwise people will start to hate me....

I can tell you it's been a lot the last months. I started Uni in January with not a clue what I was doing.... cos I had entered the wrong courses and the administration at my part of Uni had to fix so I got the right courses..... (^-^) well well I can only blame it on the shit autumn that I had

There is 3 things in my life that is taking up my time (in good and bad ways)

I still have to do :/

German III, Translation 4,5hp  and Essay 15hp
Languagedidactics I 6hp
Pedagogy II 6hp
Pedagogy III 9hp 6 hp

Catalan 15hp


Concerts :)

I have been to

Hurts the 18th of March in Stockholm

Mumford and Sons the 4th of April in Hamburg

The Hives the 27th of April in Uppsala

on the 29th of May in Stockholm

I'm still going to

30 seconds to Mars the 19th of June in Stockholm

And perhaps it will be more....

Travels:

I started the year by coming back from Madrid

Then I went to Hamburg in April (to see the Mumford and Sons concert) and Bremen

Been several times to Uppsala, since I have Catalan  there and also for the The Hives concert.

I have also been several times to Stockholm, for work interview, Hurts concert, with my cousin and his wife that came on a visit from Mexico.

I still have to go to Uppsala to do my exam in Catalan

I'm going to Norrköping with mum, dad and mum's painting group

Going to Stockholm for Beyonce concert, work education and 30 seconds to Mars concert

Going to Spain, Almuñécar to work in July

And that is everything for now...

Update on concerts -13

Now I also have bought a ticket to see Hurst in March.... :)

2013's concerts :)

Yeah I'm a bit a head with concerts for next year, so far 3 have been booked and planed for :)

First off is Mumford and Sons on the 4th of April in Hamburg, Germany.

Then The Hives on the 27th of April in Uppsala.

AND THEN....... 30 seconds to Mars

I know it's only bands with dudes in them, but so far I haven't seen any bands or artists that are girls that are gonna have concert :( that I want to see, I might add...

This year..

...is still not to an end, but boy it has been a lot this year..

January
we came back from Mexico where we had our vacations, meeting all the family. After just 2 days at home I started to work at my old place.

The whole semester I worked at my 2 workplaces and at the same time I studied German 30 hp (where I already had 7,5hp from Dalarna but needed to do the rest. I now have 25,5 hp and the only thing missing is Translation 4,5 hp that I'm doing in the end of this month.) and Catalan 7,5 hp in Uppsala, which I had to take the train to every Wednesday.

The things I did except working and studying was going to Stockholm twice, once to meet Ida and Camilla to see Che Sudaka   and the last time was with Maria to see Vive La Fete... and both times a was on Morphine (thanks my bad immune system).

Then summer came, my kids at one of the workplaces ended school and I didn't have a place to work at anymore :(  and at the other place I didn't have a permanent job more after the summer holiday, I have gone back to being a substitute teacher (which I hardly have time to work at anymore). During the summer I was studying the last of German from spring semester, I handed in 3 papers and had an oral exam in Literature with my teacher. I also took a week of and went to London to meet Nikki and Paul.

In the end of the summer I meet my second cousin for the first time, we have lived in the same town forever and she lives in the house next to where my dad works.

Then my friend Nick and his friend Quinn came on a quick visit from Seattle, US :) I so have to go there and meet them someday....

Autumn started and not in a good way. My godfather died of stomach cancer, 2 years of fighting it, leaving my godmother alone.

I started Uni this semester with a to-do-list.. Cos this semester I have to do 60 hp to the normal 30 hp, which in a way is my own fault, I should done the shit from the start and not wait with it..

4,5 hp German 2 Translation
12 hp Pedagogy 2 ( TEN1 6hp, TEN3 5hp and TEN5 1hp)
7,5 hp Catalan A12
30 hp German 3 (Linguistic 4,5 hp, Literature 6 hp, Translation 4,5hp and Essay 15 hp)
6 hp Language didactics 1

Then death number 2 happened, my grandfather. Last year he had a stroke and for 13 months he had been stuck in the bed with my aunts, uncle and grandmother taking care of him. That was also the main reason why we went to Mexico for Christmas and New Years last year. My mum is soon leaving for Mexico once more, to be with my grandma.

The last two months of this year will be spent studying so I can get my diploma and get a real job. Well the last days of this year I'm actually going to Madrid to just not think of anything...

this sucks... It all started like 3 weeks ago.. I got ill with fever and sore throat. It ended up that I had fever, sore throat, snot, headache, cough, nosebleed and eventually throwing up... It got better but now again I have snot and cough...and my cough is really bad, I have so much pain in my stomach from all the coughing... On Wednesday I have my oral exam in German literature... well I hope the cough is better then so I can speak for the 2 hrs it will take..

Naa, will continue reading and sleeping in my comfy bed..

Return of UK and London

Before anyone says that I don't blogg anymore, here is my update from my time in UK. I was in London from Monday to Wednesday (until I got seriously bored of the heat, the people and that the things I wanted to see was closed cos of the damn Olympics). Here are some pics :)

                                         Then I walked and walked and walked.....

 I calculated how long I walked on my Tuesday-walk in London and it was 12,3 km (7,6mi) from my hostel at Piccadilly Circus, past Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Tate Modern, The Globe Theater, Tower Bridge, Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market, The Gherkin, Lloyd's, Leadenhall Market and finally Bank tube station where I took the tube back to Piccadilly Circus.

On the way to Bank tube station, I past Laduree just like last time I was in London and this time I did go in and bought some macaroons. In an Hello Kitty box.. (surprise, surprise....).

On Wednesday morning I packed my suitcase and left it in the luggage room on the hostel, took a walk down to Tesco on Regent Street and then I took the tube to North Greenwich. There by the Thames River I eat my breakfast and walked the Thames Path-walk to The Thames Flood Barrier. I wanted to go to Greenwich Park....but oooooh nooooo...it was all closed cos of the Olympics even if I had looked at their homepage to see if it was gonna be open or not.. So I went to Shepherd's Bush and Westfield Shopping Centre. And did some consolation shopping..NAILPOLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So on Wednesday I went home to my friends in Coxheath, on Thursday we went to Maidstone and did some light shopping, Friday-morning we went to Whitstable and walked along the shore and eat oysters, then later that day we went to my friend Nikkis parents house and then to a Pub, The Oxney Ferry Inn, to see the Olympic Opening Ceremony... On Saturday back to Coxheath and BBQ at the neighbours. On early Sunday morning we went home to Sally and Andrew for the christening of their daughters.

I like to thank Nikki and Paul for letting me stay at their place like so many times before and I do really appreciate it that you take me on small road trips around where u live so I can see something else then just London. Also a big thank u to Sally for being such a mum and giving me a lunchpack so I could eat while I was waiting on Heathrow before my flight home.

London calling :)

So tomorrow it's time again (I think it's my 9th or 10th time) to go to London and UK... I will spend Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in London and then on Wednesday afternoon I will take the train down to Nikki and Paul in Coxheath.. On Sunday morning we then go to Sally, Andrew, Izzy and Grace in Reading. I will live close to Piccadilly Circus

This time I actually going to a place I have never been before, Greenwich Park :)
